Major Security Sale in Canada
London UK, Tuesday 16th February 2010
Videalert today announces a major contract win with its partner Beyond One Eighty for the security and protection of one of the largest military bases in Canada. The contract combines the deployment of Beyond One Eighty’s B9 geospacial and data visualisation command console platform with Videalert’s VCAP software acting as the “intelligent sensor”. Through a touch sensitive screen camera locations are represented on a map of the base and as and when incidents are detected by VCAP, these locations are immediately brought to the operator’s attention. B9 allows live feeds from any camera or incident to be viewed, with historical data and stored events available for later review.
The initial contract award covers the installation of cameras and software for strategic and sensitive areas around the main garrison base, with further rollout planned to multiple locations including areas within the range and training area (1800 sq km) to prevent theft and vandalism to valuable assets and infrastructure, using a wide range of connectivity options including 3G, WiFi and wireless mesh.
This contract award launches the strategic commercial and development partnership between Beyond One Eighty and Videalert, whereby both companies have agreed to develop tighter integration between their products to exploit the opportunities in both North America and EMEA for enhanced real time security and protection of critical assets and infrastructure across large geographical areas. As part of the commercial agreement Beyond One Eight will have reseller rights for the Videalert technology in North America and Videalert will likewise have reseller rights to Beyond One Eighty’s technology within EMEA.
