London, UK, Monday, November 4th, 2008 - Videalert Limited today announces that version 3.0.1 of its real-time video analytics system is now available for customer distribution. Building on the previous release 3 of the software available since July 2008, this new release contains further significant enhancements to Videalert Traffic Compliance (VTC). This release now supports the ability to deliver a complete end-to-end solution in either unattended or attended more.
The attended mode allows CCTV operators to be alerted to events as they occur, viewing the video in real-time and allowing them to certify that an offence has taken place.
In unattended mode a paired camera solution is delivered which can be operational 24x7. The camera pairs capture the context view and the close-up view simultaneously, allowing for post-capture review of the video to confirm that an offence has taken place.
Department of Transport (DfT) approval for the VTC solution is currently being progressed, such that it will be rapid and easy for local councils to include it as part of a DfT certified CCTV system.
