Version 4 Availability

London, UK, Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

Videalert Limited today announces that version 4 of its real-time video analytics system is now available for customer distribution. Building on the previous release 3 of the software available since July 2008, this new release contains further significant enhancements to Videalert’s product set: Videalert Traffic Compliance (VTC), Videalert Critical Asset Protection (VCAP) and Videalert Frequency Analysis (VFA).

Major features:

  • Support for Windows 7 - the new recommended OS platform
  • Significant improvements to the processing and counting algorithms, such that false alerts are further reduced and the speed of incident detection allows users to respond more quickly
  • MySQL is used throughout the solutions, providing a highly distributed and flexible architecture for deployments with a large number of cameras
  • New camera support: UDP and Sanyo IP HD
  • Video grabber cards supplied by Active Silicon
  • Limitation of 4 analytics channels per server has been removed
  • System Console provides instant visual status of every camera channel on system
  • Incident detection can be reported to multiple locations and devices by UDP/TCP messages and email, such that video streams can be driven to multiple applications in real-time

Many detailed enhancements have also been made to Videalert’s class leading Traffic Compliance solution (VTC), including a generic interface which supports multiple PCN processing solutions provided by the likes of Imperial Civil Enforcement Solutions, Spur Information Solutions and Civica.

Videalert’s Critical Asset Protection (VCAP) has been closely integrated with Beyond One Eighty’s Mapping Console B9. This provides a complete touch screen mapping interface, such that incident detection can be overlaid on Google Maps and more detailed local maps, providing instant geo-location for incident detection, live camera feeds and user response.

Videalert’s Frequency Analysis (VFA) has been closely integrated with VMS’ Titan Console Management and Abacus reporting interfaces, allowing detailed counts of footfall to be provided to multiple clients via a web-based interface for historical analysis, while at the same time providing real-time counts to track activity as it is happening.
