Videalert today announces a major contract extension with its partner Beyond One Eighty for the security and protection of one of the largest military bases in Canada. The contract extends the deployment and integration of Beyond One Eighty’s B9 geo-spatial and data visualisation command console platform into Videalert’s Traffic Control software.
Videalert’s expertise in the recognition and handling of vehicles and ANPR technology renders it unique in the field of Critical Asset Protection – customers use the same intelligent sensing, management and backbone software to protect perimeters from intruders and to manage vehicular movement through and around the base.
Vehicles are logged and their movement tracked by Videalert. If vehicles are present when or where prohibited, an alert is produced for action by an operator. This is invaluable in such a large military base where large areas are generally open yet where live firing is scheduled. B9 allows live feeds from any camera or incident to be viewed, with historical data and stored events available for later review.
This contract extension also covers multiple locations including areas within the range and training area (1800 sq km) to prevent theft and vandalism to valuable assets and infrastructure, using a wide range of connectivity options including 3G, WiFi and wireless mesh.
